White Sands Music Studios

Project Overview

White Sands Studios came to us with over four decades of experience in surf rock, rhythm & blues, classic rock, and soul. Their goal was to create a website that felt timeless and premium, not trendy or overly modern.

Our Approach

We decided on a vintage-inspired theme that reflects the soul and timelessness of the classic music written in the 60s and 70s.

To capture the nostalgia of classic recordings, we designed the home page video with a vintage film aesthetic  — using subtle film grain, flickering lights, and film scratches to recreate the look of a 1970’s studio.

Additionally, we used vintage guitars, classic tube amps, and a 1970’s analog keyboard.  Dimmed lighting and floating dust helped create the imagery of an intimate, nighttime recording session.

To mirror the look of old vinyl records, we used a carbon black, deep charcoal background paired with warm gold accents. Our logo design had a distressed, vintage look, showcasing the studio’s decades of experience in the music industry.

The Result

The end result blends nostalgia with professionalism, giving White Sands Studios a strong online presence that reflects both its history and its continued presence in today’s music scene.
